Putting the spotlight on some of the best places to eat in St Pete`s.
Пицца 22cm
Lets start with something casual and familliar. Of course everyone loves pizza but not everyone wants to use up their precious time in St Pete`s eating in a Pizza Hut that they could just as easily visit in their own country. If you ever find yourself in this situation I recommend you take a trip to Пицца 22cm. Here you`ll find a good mix of simple pizzas (like pepperoni and margherita) and other, more adventurous options.
The restaurant also serves Fentimans drinks, which was a surprise for me as I`ve never seen them outside of the UK before. If you`re looking for a non-alcoholic accompaniment to your pizza they`re well worth a try.

Эривань
St Petersburg is full of restaurants featuring the cuisines of Russia`s neighbouring states. Whilst it`s not hard to find Armenian, Georgian or Uzbek restaurants, finding good ones can be. Allow me to save you a bit of trouble by recommending the Armenian joint, Эривань. Not only is the place fantastically decorated but the food is fantastic too. If your a fan of Shashlik then Эривань has the best that I`ve found in St Petersburg so far.
If you need any more convincing that Эривань is worth a visit, then this Napoleon cake should convince you…

Северянин
While you`re in Russia you really should try some Russian food. One of the best places I`ve found for this is Северянин. It`s a little expensive in comparison to other places but this is made up for by the quality of the food and the luxurious atmosphere and styling of the restaurant itself; there was even live classical guitar being played there when I went.
In terms of specific recommendations I would suggest toasting your meal with vodka, which at Северянин is served ice cold, the pelmeni is also rather good.
