Be Careful, Flowers! / Осторожно, Цветы! 27/01/2021
Today not many of us know that about one hundred years ago a bouquet of walnut leaves was presented as a hearty thank you, and hazel flowers were given to a girl with a secret request for a kiss. There were strict rules when choosing flowers for women, young girls and even young girls. A terry rose, for example, denoted childlike grace. A white lilac meant inexperience. A pink bud - blossoming youth. Mimosa - modesty. Lily of the valley: happiness and secret love. Daisy - innocence and purity. All of these flowers were only decent for young girls and would have been ridiculous for women in adulthood. So, think twice before you give your mother or grandmother a sprig of white lilac or rosebud.
