We founded the Russian language school in 2003 with the participation of the National Pushkin Museum – the largest literary museum in Russia. Derzhavin Institute has already proved to be one of the best Russian language schools in St. Petersburg (Russia) of its kind. Our school meets international quality standards. We are accredited by EAQUALS (Evaluation & Accreditation of Quality in Language Services). We are an official TORFL testing center.

Close collaboration with the museum, along with the care and attention given to the students by our qualified and experienced teaching staff at our school, contribute to a friendly and creative atmosphere. This ensures a deep immersion into both the Russian language and culture.

What if you are a beginner and cannot join us on the abovementioned dates?

Option 1. Consider taking individual classes (unlike the group lessons you can start any day). You will get the total attention of the teacher that is so important when you are making your first steps in Russian).

Option 2. Think about taking some skype classes to catch up the material. You can see more details here.

Option 3. Contact us at lingv@derzhavin.com and we will do our best to find the suitable solution.

All other levels can start any Monday.
Please notice that the application deadline is 4 weeks.
The school is closed on the following public holidays: Jan 1-03,07 May 1, Dec 28-31.
No lessons will be held during public holidays but we will reduce the course fee accordingly in cases where the course falls on a public holiday.
